Hi! I am Nikita!

I am Montreal based director of photography, originally from Rostov-on-Don, Russia who lived 10 years in Israel. My journey into the image and video world began while working in the camera department as an assistant cameraman, when I had a revelation. I fell in love with the process of creating images. This led me to pursue a career as a director of photography.

As a DP and cameraman, my projects include short & feature films, TV & Web shows, music videos, and documentaries. My first feature was as a co-cinematographer on an artistic fiction titled Victoria, in 2020. Since, I have worked as a cameraman on “Un souper presque parfait” in 2021-2022 “combien tu m’aimes? in 2022-2023 and as a Director of Photography on “Un souper presque parfait” in 2023, a well known reality tv show in Québec.

But why family photography then?

I have always had an interest and passion for still photography. And then, I became a father and a lot changed. I saw the beauty in immortalizing live family moments that will have stories told about them for years and probably passed on into generations.
